MB selangor visit LRT sites

SHAH ALAM: Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim today visited four sites proposed for the project extension Transit Light Rail Train service from Subang Jaya to Puchong. Four of the proposed site is Kampung Sri Aman, Taman Mas, Kampung Sungai Baru and Putra Heights, all under the administration of Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ). Taman Mas a new site that was decided today after a working visit and talk for 20 minutes with the villagers representative of Sri Aman.
Kampung Sri Aman think that Taman Mas is more practical in areas of new housing and proximity to highways. The new site is intended for residents of Kampung Sri Aman wants the State Government to protect the village as one of the traditional Malay villages in Selangor is still there. Chief Minister assured that the agency involved will make a study on the proposed new site. "We will not give consent before suggest this discussion," he said when visiting a new site in Taman Mas. Shortly after the visit, Abdul Khalid instructed officials of Malaysia and the Department of Railway Infrastructure National Company Limited (SPNB) to study the suitability of the new site and presented at a meeting of the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) in the next two weeks. "We are confident that residents are not against development but they also want to protect their homes demolished. So we need to balance development and social infrastructure. "The State Government will do their best so that the development is beneficial to all parties," said Abdul Khalid. Also joining the visit, the State Exco, Yaakob Sapari, MP Puchong, Gobind Singh Deo, President MPSJ, Datuk Adnan Mohd Ikhsan and Director of the Town and Country Planning Selangor, Datuk Jaafar Atan.

From the latest plan (snapped from newspaper) i found from a forum, Taman Mas LRT Station is not confirmed. But others e.g. Puchong Utama station has been confirmed. I can share you the screen shot of latest lrt plan if you would like to.
